Gutter repairs: joints, brackets and leaks
Most gutter problems are not the gutter itself, they are the fixings. A bracket screwed into rotten fascia timber will sag no matter how many times you resecure it, and a dried-out joint seal will keep leaking until it is properly resealed or replaced.
What gets fixed
Resealing leaking union joints, refixing or replacing sagging brackets, correcting the fall so water actually runs towards the downpipe instead of sitting flat, and swapping cracked or split sections.
When it needs more than a repair
If the fascia board behind the bracket has rotted, that needs joinery work before the gutter repair will hold. Richard will flag this rather than fix a bracket into wood that will fail again in a season.
